How much does a new bathroom cost?
Bathroom renovation costs vary depending on size, materials, and specification. As a rough guide, prices typically start from £4,000, with luxury or bespoke bathrooms costing more. I provide transparent, itemised estimates so you know exactly what you’re paying for.
How long does a bathroom renovation take?
Most standard bathroom renovations take 1–2 weeks from start to finish. This can vary depending on the size of the bathroom, complexity of the design, availability of materials, and whether any structural or plumbing changes are required. I’ll always give you an estimate before work begins.
Do you handle the full bathroom design and installation?
Yes — I offer a complete end-to-end service. If needed extensive plastering, gas or electricity alterations I can rely on a network of trusted tradesmen. You won’t need to coordinate multiple trades.
The process of renovation
How disruptive is a bathroom renovation?
Some disruption is unavoidable during a bathroom installation, including noise, dust, and limited access to the bathroom for part of the project. I work as cleanly and efficiently as possible, protecting surrounding areas, and keep disruption to a minimum.
Will we be without a bathroom during the work?
In most cases, the bathroom will be out of use for at least part of the installation. If it’s the only available bathroom, I’ll plan the work to minimise inconvenience and leave running tap and working toilet at the end of the day.
Will my new bathroom be waterproofed properly?
Absolutely. Proper waterproofing is a critical part of any bathroom installation. I use some of the best industry-approved waterproofing systems to protect your home from leaks and long-term water damage for the lifetime of the bathroom.
What happens if you find problems once work starts?
Occasionally, hidden issues such as damp damage, inadequate plumbing or poor previous workmanship can be discovered once the old bathroom is removed. If this happens, I’ll explain the issue clearly, agree the best solution, and provide transparent pricing before any additional work is carried out.
Warranty and aftercare
Do you offer a guarantee on your work?
Yes. I provide a 2 year workmanship guarantee on all installations, and all supplied products come with extensive manufacturer warranties for added peace of mind.
What happens if something needs adjusting after completion?
If anything needs fine-tuning, just let me know. I’m happy to come back and make sure everything is just right.
How to take care of my new bathroom?
To keep your new bathroom looking beautiful and working perfectly for years to come, regular care and simple maintenance are key. Wipe down surfaces after use to prevent limescale and soap build-up, and use non-abrasive cleaners to protect tiles, fittings, and finishes. Make sure your bathroom is well ventilated by using the extractor fan or opening windows to reduce moisture and prevent mould. It’s also a good idea to occasionally check seals, grout, and silicone for signs of wear and address any small issues early before they become bigger problems. With a little ongoing care, your bathroom will retain its style, comfort, and quality long after installation.
